Ring Jacket RTW
Between the devastation of lockdowns upon lockdowns there was a shimmering light in 2020; the two suits I got from Ring Jacket. Sounds silly enough, I know.
But Ring Jacket presents a certain amount of suits every season and among those there are usually some made up of the model S-178 trousers and the No-269 jacket. In addition, as per my preference, two or three of those have trousers with side adjusters. Well, in 2020 there was both a green and a brown one. My two favourite colours for casual suits.
You’ll notice that this introduction is the same as in the presentation of the Subalpino suit, but I figured some context is always nice.
Because of the sturdy twill, this cloth doesn’t need a whole lotta weight to it to drape well, not to mention insulate well. Being quite warm blooded I appreciate fabrics that provide insulation without wearing too heavy.
The green shade is also really stunning in my opinion. I generally like darker greens, especially with flannels, but this one really hits that sweet spot for lighter green tones.
Suit
I think you’ll be familiar with the details of the jacket and trouser model this suit is made up off.
Although I’ve made some changes to the custom orders lately, this was still very much the model that inspired what I wear now.
The jacket model, the No-269. As you can see this jacket has double stitching along the lapels, the pockets and the skirt.
I really like the wide lapels on this model. This jacket is exactly how I want a jacket to look down to every detail.
The trouser model, the S-178, two pleats and side adjusters.
As per usual, 6cm turn-ups.
