Neapolitan influence in a Japanese frame with a Scandinavian mindset

outBespoken is first and foremost a personal journal celebrating sartorialism through the lens of a Scandinavian whom discovered Neapolitan tailoring while living in Japan.

My aim is to provide you with my personal thoughts as well as more thorough investigations into style and sartorially relevant topics and last but not least, a quest to find Japanese brands, designers and artisans embracing Neapolitan and Italian tradition.

Because style engages both your eyes and your mind my approach is twofold with and equal focus on written and visual presentation.

While the written journal is described above, the visual journal is best experienced through the outBespoken instagram account.

Beyond style and tailoring tradition, Japanese, Scandinavian and Italian art, design and architecture, both current and historically, has an immense influence on my approach to style:

Scandinavian and Japanese minimalism, functionality and focus on beauty in simplicity as the ground structure. Italian and Japanese boldness in colour and pattern as ornamental inspiration.

I invite you to read, look, engage and hopefully be inspired.
